Dr Narinder Kapur presents cheque to Lynn Woo - 10th May 2013

Dr Narinder Kapur, consultant neuropsychologist and visiting Professor of Neuropsychology at University College London, and a follower of Mahatma Ghandi, presented £3000 donation to Lynn Woo for the Karen Woo Foundation, in honour of Karen's courage and determination.

The ceremony took place in front of the Ghandi statue in Tavistock Square, London. Thank you to Dr Kapur for this generous donation, the foundation is very grateful for your support and the difference it will make in the lives of the women and children we support.

Second Container on way - Jan 2013

The KWF is pleased to announce there is a second container on its way to Afghanistan, organised by Mike King and Clive O'Sullivan. It contains work clothing donated by Arco to be distributed by Afghan Action, computers donated by a girls' school here for a girl's school there, also under Afghan Action's care, and donated Medical supplies destined for the Ibn Sina Hospital Kabul from us. There is even some cricket gear donated through Francis Wauchope who has been instrumental in arranging the freighting of the container. We are grateful to the HQ RLC (TA) and 562 squadron 151 (London) Transport Regiment for moving the container out of Harlow to a distribution point for completion and then to Southampton, both moves in appalling weather.


10 Mile Run - Nov 2012

Thank you to Vicky Sanders, who completed a 10 mile run to raise money for the Foundation. Vicky had only just started getting back into running shortly before the run, so this is a massive challenge.

3 Countries in a Day Cycle - Oct 2012

Robin Hood Half Marathon - Sept 2012

40th Wedding Celebration benefits the KWF

Marie and Brian Proctor celebrated 40 years of marriage with a party with friends and family at their Stafford home. Marie, a cousin of Karen, requested that instead of anniversary gifts her guests could donate to the Karen Woo Foundation. The KWF trustees would like to thank Marie, Brian and their guests for raising over £370 for the Foundation.

2012 Devizes to Westminster Canoe Challenge - May 2012

Lee Hamilton and James Kenyon planned to paddle 125 miles nonstop for the Karen Woo Foundation.
They took part in the gruelling Devizes to Westminster Kayak race on 07/04/2012.. but sadly had to pull out before completion this year as hypothermia took its toll.
Thank you to them both for their heroic effort and to their sponsors for upholding their pledges, in recognition of that effort.
